Angi’s Director of Accounting is primarily responsible for managing the General Ledger, Sales Ops (Commissions) and Operational areas of the accounting team, which includes Accounts Payable, Treasury, Payroll & Financial Systems. Reporting into Angi’s VP of Accounting, this role will also be responsible for providing leadership and mentorship across the accounting organization.
What you’ll do
Directly oversee the General Ledger, Accounts Payable & Treasury Accounting teams, with indirect oversight & collaboration with Sales Commissions, Payroll & Financial Systems teams
Monthly closing process – including compliance with US GAAP and SOX control framework
Communication of issues to relevant stakeholders as they arise during close or throughout the month
Quarterly external financial reporting packs to support the external financial reporting team in its SEC filings
Consistent interaction with the FP&A team to support their forecasting and actual to budget analysis
Perform end-to-end cross-functional process reviews and identify areas for improvement
Provide technical accounting guidance on accounting issues that arise
Provide training and mentorship across the accounting organization
Support internal and external audit programs by engaging with auditors and providing requested information timely
Who you are
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance. Master’s degree not required, but a plus
At least 8 years accounting experience in a fast-paced environment with progressive increase in responsibilities - public accounting experience a plus
Thorough understanding of US GAAP
Experience managing teams with diverse accounting experiences
Must be proactive in identifying process improvements and take initiative to diagnosis and remediate potential issues
Must work well in a team setting and be able to foster inter-departmental cooperation in compliance efforts
Ability to multi-task on multiple projects/assignments
Must be articulate and confident in communication of ideas, issues, and resolutions to a broad audience (e.g. executive management, staff, internal & external auditors, etc.)
Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
Detail-oriented with exceptional planning and organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters

Compensation & Benefits
The salary band for this position ranges $160,000-$200,000 commensurate with experience and performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as cost of living.
This position will be eligible for a competitive year end performance bonus & equity package.
