About the Job:
We are currently seeking an Accounting Intern for a challenging experience-based internship to contribute to an innovative and groundbreaking project in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Are you passionate about numbers and finance, and looking to make your mark in the industry? Join our dynamic team as we push the boundaries and create a game changer in the world of AI. You will have the unique opportunity to participate in a fully immersive internship where you will gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, reporting, and accounting processes. This is designed largely as a remote placement but can also be a hybrid internship (Chicago or Toronto). In this engagement/applied learning internship, you'll gain unparalleled experience in a high-growth, dynamic environment, directly interfacing with senior management and contributing to transformative financial strategies. It will be a demanding internship and will require you to bring the best version of yourself to the table, but for those who embrace this, it will be a richly rewarding experience as well as a great complement to your academic investment.
What You'll Do:

Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliation of accounts.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Support the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Help maintain compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

About You:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's level university program in fields such as Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in accounting software and tools such as QuickBooks, Excel, or similar.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Proficient communication in English (both verbal and written) is required.
Experience with financial analysis and reporting is a plus.
Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
