Exciting Opportunity for After School Group Leaders and AssistantsMedway Extended Day Inc. (MEDI) seeks creative, energetic, and professional afterschool Lead teacher and group leaders for the 2024-2025 school year. MEDI is a non-profit organization serving the Medway, MA community since 1996. The program provides high-quality enrichment-based before and after-school care for kindergarten-sixth grade students: offering fun, creativity, and the opportunity to develop and grow as an educator.Do you want to share your enthusiasm, creativity, and excitement with kids and a fun, supportive team environment? This is your chance to plan and implement a project curriculum utilizing your experience in the field (s) of creative arts, athletics, drama, and science and bring your talents to share with school-age children.Ideal candidates are caring, creative, experienced, and passionate about creating a safe, fun, and creative environment after school for school-age students.Responsibilities:Plan and facilitate engaging activities for school-age learners working closely in a team-teaching environment providing a warm, caring, safe community for school-age children after school.Establish and maintain a positive interpersonal relationship with all children, faculty, and parents/guardians.Be a role model for the children regarding appearance and behavior, communicating with children in a clear professional manner.Qualifications:Previous experience working with youth in a school, child care, after-school, or summer program.Eagerness to join our professional team of educators.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Bachelor's Degree or Dept. of Education Early Education and Care (EEC) licensing is a plus!Hiring is contingent upon successful reference checks, background checks, and fingerprint testing.Excellent opportunity for college graduates or recent graduates. Students majoring in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Needs, Physical Education, or a related field are encouraged to apply! Camp and recreation experiences are a plus.Positions begin in late August and run through the 2024-2025 school year.
