Animal Enrichment Coordinator

<p><strong>Job Summary</strong><br>We are seeking an Animal Enrichment Coordinator to join our Caregiving Management team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for improving the lives of dogs with traumatic backgrounds by providing enrichment, basic training, socialization, obedience and coping skills. The Animal Enrichment Coordinator will work closely with members of the Adoption Academy, Executive Director Team, General Manager and Manager of Marketing and Promotions in order to ensure best practices are in place to enhance the possibility of successful adoptions.</p><p><strong>Duties</strong></p><ul><li>Dog walking and caregiving</li><li>Matching dogs with other to ensure enriching and healthy living environments</li><li>Utilize knowledge of animal personalities to create realistic expectations and acceptable behaviors</li><li>Implement feedback from directors and peers to refine procedures and implement new tools</li><li>Co-manage the Kids United for Animals program designed to increase chances of a successful adoption</li><li>Assist in the appointments of caregivers and dogs to attend community events in order to increase awareness and/or educate</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Strong understanding of animal behavior, particularly of those dogs with known trauma in their past.</li><li>Experience in basic training and obedience.</li><li>Knowledge of animal socialization needs and ability to identify dogs who are able to a) live cohesively with others and/or b) become successful members of both the community and home environment.</li><li>Background in minor veterinary needs is advantageous.</li><li>Proven ability to handle dogs and other animals safely and effectively.</li><li>Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.</li></ul><p>Job Type: Full-time</p><p>Pay: Salary is based upon experience </p><p>Expected hours: 40 per week</p><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Professional development assistance</li></ul><p>Schedule:</p><ul><li>8 hour shift</li><li>Day shift</li><li>Morning shift</li><li>Weekends as needed</li></ul><p>Ability to Relocate:</p><ul><li>Auburn, NE 68305: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>
