JOB DESCRIPTION:This is a part-time role, 2 days/week to provide archery instruction for our Camp Fire Clubs Afterschool Enrichment programs at our area partner schools. As an Archery Instructor, you will provide instruction to elementary school youth and supervise archery activities. This role requires you to be onsite at our location in Austin, TX. The school district for this position is Eanes.The instruction days/times for this position are Thursday and Friday afternoons (approx. 3 hours each day). Additional time should be anticipated for weekly or bi-weekly scheduled program team meetings and check-ins with your supervisor as needed.QualificationsExperience working with children and teenagersKnowledge of and passion for outdoor activities (most activities will be outdoors)Excellent internal/external communication skillsAbility to lead and supervise groups of childrenMinimum Level 1 Archery certification completedFirst Aid and CPR certification. Camp Fire provides American Red Cross Adult/Pediatric CPR/AED/1st Aid certificationAbility to pass a background check (CBI/Fingerprint) check will be requiredProof of eligibility to work in the U.S. (I-9 Form will be verified by Camp Fire)Experience in a camp or outdoor education setting is a plusStrong problem-solving and conflict resolution skillsReliable transportationABOUT US:For nearly 60 years, Camp Fire Central Texas has served youth and their families in the Austin area.
