The Permit Runner accomplishes this by working closely with project teams and City/County agencies, to proactively identify requirements and potential roadblocks as well as facilitating resolutions so projects remain on schedule. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage permit process through project teams from permit application to permission to operate. Serves as the point of contact and coordinator between AMBS and the end customer. Research information such as State Contractor and Business License in compliance with permit issuance as allowed by the Statewide Building Code. Prepare permit/license applications per project at City or County level Scan and upload applications, associated plans and documents to permit file. Creates and implements a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities and resources needed to complete the projects to meet customer needs. Maintain and keep detail records of notes and updates in Workfront and all Allied required platforms. Conduct a quick off meeting with AMBS and the client and stakeholders to ensure every detail and potential challenges are accounted for. Proactively brings up challenges to the team to form an action plan and provide the solution and potential impact to the client. Develops a schedule for permit completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities; revises the schedule as required. Updates Workfront and Business Central as required. Maintain and keep permit dates up to date. Actively participates in permit progress meetings with updates to current projects. Perform clerical and routine administrative work as assigned. Assists with other activities as assigned by supervisor or division head. Coordinate logistics of permit package delivery to City or County Obtain signatures for any/all paperwork between client and City/County Agencies Reliable vehicle for transportation to pick up/drop off paperwork (mileage reimbursement) Monday to Friday - 8:00 am to 3:30 pm (20 to 30 hours / hours will vary depending on workload) - you pick your hours Must have clean driving record/ license QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED High school diploma or equivalent required Knowledge of architectural permits required At least 1 year of equivalent job experience in similar role Experience with CRMs or large databases Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and timeliness Excellent verbal communication and the ability to write clear and concise communications Job requires the ability to work as a team in a fast-paced environment Must be proficient using computer application software, such as Microsoft Office, Outlook and CRM experience would be a plus. Excellent project management skills including prioritization, scheduling, and documentation. Employs strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage shifting priorities, demands, and timelines. Solid technical understanding and ability to define and refine requirements through a project lifecycle. Ability to quickly learn, understand and apply new technologies. Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Promote a positive working environment conducive to a team atmosphere in alignment with the Allied Modular culture.
