Assistant Infant Teacher

We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable, experienced Infant Teacher to join our thriving childcare facility. In this role, you will see to the childrens basic needs, provide an enriching learning environment, and create a safe, compassionate home-away-from home for our little ones. To succeed in this position, you should be patient, enthusiastic, and fun-loving, with a passion for child development and care.Child Caregiver Duties and Responsibilities Provide responsible care for children Treat all children with care and compassion Uphold all safety standards Maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly classroom Maintain a professional attitude, respecting family privacy at all times Prepare nutritional food choices for children and encourage them to try new things Provide enriching educational activities Lead songs and learning exercises Provide structure and accountability in a compassionate fashion Help children with toileting/diaper changes as needed Design and implement educational, age-appropriate activities Encourage children to participate in all activities Help children learn to be helpers in the classroom, as appropriate Contact parents as needed to address challenges Remain in constant contact with families of children via newsletters, conferences etc. Provide many opportunities for children to learn and develop age-appropriate skillsChild Caregiver Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or GED required, college degree is strongly preferred Minimum 2 years experience working in a professional childcare setting Exceptional patience and ability to remain calm at all times Excellent listening skills and an engaging demeanor Solid working knowledge of childhood development Creativity, compassion, and professionalism are a must Fun and enthusiastic attitude Willing to sing, dance, and be silly with the children Physically able to perform tasks, including sitting on the floor, bending, and standing Must be able to lift children weighing up to 30 lbs regularly Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test
