Dogtopia, the industry leader in dog daycare and wellness services, is looking for an energetic, organized, business-minded individual to lead our team as a store Assistant/Operations Manager at our new facility in North Overland Park.This is a role for someone with a Management and Sales/Operations background who understands hard work, how to deliver and train others to provide top customer service and ensure a great environment for the dogs in our care. This person is an enthusiastic dog lover, and after coming on board, as a BONUS can bring their dog friendly dog to work for free!What we offer: Lets look at what Dogtopia does for you!Its always bring-your-dog to work day!Education in basic dog obedience and trainingFun, dynamic team culture with more than 200 locationsAdditional certification program trainingLearn skills related to sales, customer service and teamworkNow that we have the fun out of the way lets get into what you can offer us.Prior experience should MUST include ALL of the following:Minimum 1 or more years of experience in managing a dog daycare / kennel, pet care or veterinary facility.Minimum 2 or more years of working experience in a kennel operation, pet care or veterinary facility.Minimum 2 years of experience managing a customer facing, high service providing company.Minimum 1.5 years of experience in scheduling, performance management, and financial/budgetary accountability.Minimum 2 years of experience leading a team of full and part time employees.Job Description:As Operations/Assistant Manager you are responsible for smooth running of operations, managing team members, maintaining high quality, safe and clean dog care facility, help providing exceptional level of customer service, working alongside of pet parent relationship manager to initiate community outreach through marketing and special events and drive superb customer satisfaction metrics.Team ManagementMaintains optimum back of house staffing and development with employeesLeads by example by coaching all on contributing to a positive team-oriented cultureManages completion of all Spa Services baths, nails, ear cleaning, and brushoutsDelivers written performance reviews and gives employees positive written acknowledgement when dueMust have a flexible schedule that includes some evenings, weekends, and holidaysInterviewing, hiring and onboarding employees and ensure each employee has the required amount of trainingClean and Safe Environment to ensure our furry friends are always in a safe and clean environmentMaintain and update cleaning schedule, along with holding themselves and team accountable to the Dogtopias Safety and cleaning standardsWorks closely with of pet parent relationship manager to complete new dog Meet & GreatsAssists on In-store event daysFinancial and AdministrativeManages team members including quality control of work, safety, schedules, and employee recordsMaintains controllable expenses within budgetary constraints including forecasting, tracking, and ordering supplies, minimizing payroll, and actively for ways to maximize efficiencyCommunicates any concerns or needs proactively and partnering after attempting to resolve issuesDevelops team in upselling and using dog evaluations to grow revenueCommunicates any concerns or needs to General Manager proactively and partnering after attempting to resolve issuesOperationsMaintains and updates cleaning schedule, along with holding themselves and team accountable to the Dogtopias safety and cleaning standardsProactively handles any dog incident and communicates to pet parents, GM and owner with proper documentation and follow upMonitor dogs proactively with ongoing behavior issues and maintains action plans to retain those with minor issuesEnsure Operations perform at Dogtopia standards for Dog safety and cleanlinessResponsibility for opening and closing storeCustomer Service and PresentationMaintains a neat organized environment at all timesSets the example for the team and holds accountable to internal and external customer service standardsKeeps the team members engaged in their dutiesStrive for high customer service ratingsENJOY you team!
