Assistant teacher

**Introduction**We are a newly established daycare center, working with a total of 12 children alongside two other teachers. We are seeking a dedicated teacher who can engage with the children joyfully and ensure their safety. With two other teachers sharing the responsibility of looking after 12 children, the workload is manageable.We are looking for someone who can become a long-term member of our team. If you have a passion for working with children and aspire to be a preschool teacher, this position is for you. Our senior teacher, with 15 years of experience, will provide substantial support in your development as a preschool teacher.Initially, the hourly wage will be modest, but there will be opportunities for salary increases based on your performance. Although we are currently operating as a daycare, we plan to transition into a center within the next one to two years. We intend to offer additional benefits to teachers who stay with us long-term. Let's grow together and build a lasting career.**Duties**Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate children's physical, emotional, and intellectual growthProvide basic care and caregiving activities for children, including feeding, diapering, and nap timesMaintain a safe and clean environment for the childrenCommunicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concernsCollaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment**Preferred Qualifications**Previous experience in childcare, daycare, nannying, or babysittingKnowledge of childhood development and early education principlesAbility to manage a classroom of young children effectivelyCertification in early childhood education or a related field**Working Conditions**The maximum classroom size is 12 children.The teacher-to-child ratio is 1:4 in the morning and can range from 1:4 to 1:6 in the afternoon.A one-hour lunch break is provided for full time teacherThere are two 10-minute breaks, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.**Additional Information**An in-person interview is required.Two locations: one in Sunnyvale, one in Santa Clara (5min local driving distance between two locations)Before formal employment, we will have trial days to ensure a good fit for both you and us.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hourExpected hours: 20 40 per weekSchedule:4 hour shift8 hour shiftMonday to FridayAbility to Commute:Santa Clara, CA 95051 (Required)Ability to Relocate:Santa Clara, CA 95051: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
