The role of Backend Engineer is designed for a highly skilled and experienced fullstack developer responsible for the planning, creation, development, and implementation of backend services, frontend applications, documentation, software development kits, and tools for the XBE platform. As a part of Xsolla, you will work on innovative solutions that power game developers and publishers, helping them achieve success in the gaming industry. You will collaborate closely with integration and DevOps engineers to handle incoming customer feature requests and bugs, ensuring that the XBE platform delivers seamless, reliable services to clients.RESPONSIBILITIESDocumentation of backend services, tools, sample projects, tutorials and white papersMaintain backend services and shared libraries.Work with Integration team to develop features and resolve bugsWork with DevOps team to improve developer experience with tools and infrastructureWork with DevOps team to help handle deployments of XBE platform to K8s.REQUIREMENTSMinimum 5 years experience working with micro-service architectureMinimum 5 years experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databaseKnowledge of Kubernetes including containerization, pods, ingresses and other k8s conceptsExperience with HTTP REST APIsKnowledge of NodeJS and ReactJSProficient with Javascript/TypescriptExperience with MongoDBExcellent documentation and communication habitsPluses:Knowledge of Unity or Unreal EngineExperience developing games for PC and mobile platformsExperience shipping titles on console platformsPrevious experience working with game studios or other backend as a service companiesAt Xsolla, we are passionate about providing a conducive environment for our team to thrive personally and professionally.
