Job descriptionLittle House Academy in Waterford is seeking a caring, compassionate assistant who has experience caring for children ages six weeks to six years. We are committed to providing top quality care and education for students who are enrolled in our program. Our goal is to enhance the lives of every family that attends our facility. Please note we are a STEAM based child care and we like to get hands-on messy!We are looking for an infant lead teacher, a general assistant, and two on-call substitutes. Please let us know which position you are interested in.We are a small center, so being a team player with a positive attitude is essential.Job duties include:Assist teachers in creating lesson plans and maintaining a safe classroom environmentAdhere to our cleaning routine throughout the day that keeps all of the interactive areas sanitary and safeMonitor children during both indoor and outdoor activities and interact with the children to enhance their learningWork with teachers to maintain communication with parents and contact parents in emergency situationsPrepare and serve meals and monitor children during lunch timeRequired education and skills:RELIABILITY. This is a must. If you are not reliable, please do not apply. State law requires all child care facilities to adhere to a strict staff to child ratio. We cannot function properly out of ratio. This is an *absolute* priority to be part of our team.Other helpful things:High school diploma/GED required2+ years child care experience is preferredMust possess valid CPR/First Aid/Bloodborne Pathogen certifications. You must be certified within 30 days of hire and it cannot be an online certification.
