What is the Role?
CAMP is looking for a Controller to join the Finance Team. This person is responsible for leading and building the accounting team, running the month-end close process, and establishing improved controls and processes throughout the organization. The Controller will oversee the effectiveness of the ERP system (NetSuite), as well as taking the company through its first audit. This position reports to the CFO and will work closely with the CEO and Executive Team as well.
You will report to CAMP’s CFO and will be part of CAMP Labs (aka corporate) team.
What will you do at CAMP?

Planning, organizing and managing all activities of the general accounting function to ensure accurate and timely recording and reporting of all financial results for the organization per GAAP
Leading all accounting functions including Cash, AP, GL, BS, cash management and forecasting, monthly and yearly close, fixed asset management, and financial reporting through NetSuite reporting
Providing monthly reporting packages, including the preparation of balance sheet, and income and cash flow statements, Fixed Asset and CAPEX reporting and AP/AR agings
Coordinating the annual audit, including preparation of the financial statements and support schedules
Leading efforts to improve processes for the accounting processes, and create efficient operations that ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information - responsible for the “one version of the truth” as it relates to financials results
Acting as treasurer as it relates to managing cash and the relationship with commercial bankers
Insure timely and accurate payment of all local and federal taxes and sales tax processes
Building an effective, deeply motivated and collaborative accounting team, focusing on the development and personal growth of our team members
Acting as the catalyst for process improvements in the Finance and Accounting processes of each organization

What will you bring to CAMP?

BA/BS degree in Accounting
3-6 years of experience in public accounting, CPA and/or Big 4 experience preferred
5+ years prior experience working for fast-growing companies as accounting manager/leader
Experience in eCommerce and working with inventory strongly preferred
Knowledge of GAAP mandatory, especially CAPEX, Lease and Revenue Recognition accounting
Building and managing CAMP’s accounting team
Self-starter, proactive, ability to prioritize and shift focus with ease and flexibility
Extremely detail oriented, diligent and thorough
Trustworthy and comfortable with sensitive data including salary, equity, etc.
You are a confident, self-manager, self-learner and can run autonomously without much direction
You speak up when you see threats to the business and are not afraid to disagree and manage up to executives.
Passionate about delivering memorable experiences to customers
Desire to be part of a tight knit team looking to transform the traditional retail experience
Holding yourself and your team to high standards
Start-up and high-growth company experience is a bonus but not a requirement
Retail and / or consumer products experience is a bonus but not a requirement
You are authorized to work lawfully in the United States

Compensation: $125,000 -$175,000
