Job descriptionOVERVIEWThe Perfect Game Pub is seeking a Snack Bar/Kitchen Cook who will ensure the quality of our food from preparation to plating, as well as maintain a clean and safe environment.This position will be cross-trained to ring up orders using a POS system, handle cash, prepare food, and do standard prep work such as food portioning and stocking.This specific job description covers the basic function, qualifications, requirements, working conditions, and skills necessary, but not limited to, the successful fulfillment of this position in accordance with the standards of Perfect Game Pub.View our restaurant menu at https://thesteelcitybowl.com/the-perfect-game-pub/food-beverage-menus/BE EFFICIENT AND PRODUCTIVEWHEN CASHIERINGProvide courteous, professional, and personalized service.Cheerfully greet each guest that approaches the counter.Ring transactions accurately and timely into the POS system.Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.WHEN COOKINGPrepare all food according to recipes and specifications/measurements provided.Plan fulfillment of orders so that items to be served together are finished at the same time.Complete orders as trained and instructed to do so and execute proper plating and presentation.KEEP IT CLEANBreak down and clean all cooking equipment upon completion of each shift.Clean food preparation equipment, work areas, and counters/tables.Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.BE PREPARED AND ORGANIZEDProperly portion, prep, and store food according to guidelines.Order supplies and re-stock shelves, if and when required.BE IN THE KNOWMemorize the food and beverage menu and stay updated on changes.Maintain a working knowledge of the POS system and stay current with training updates.BE RESPONSIBLEClose the kitchen correctly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations.Ensure line checklists are completed and filled out accurately and legibly as instructed by management.Maintain proper dress code and present a neat and clean appearance while on the job.Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.WHAT WERE LOOKING FORREQUIREDMinimum of one (1) year experience in a food and beverage environmentMinimum of one (1) year experience in a cash handling positionHigh School Diploma or GEDMust have experience cooking on grill and using fryer.Must have current ServSafe Food Handlers Permit or obtain one within the first 60 days of employment.Must be fluent in English.The Perfect Game Pub is located within Steel City Bowl & Brews in Bethlehem, PA.
