Summit Dance Co. in Redmond Ridge is looking for reliable, hard-working, and super enthusiastic employee to join our studio family and help manage the hustle and bustle and fast-paced environment at our front desk. This person must LOVE being around children and people of all ages and have an appreciation for dance and the arts. There is also room for career growth into a more part-time OR full-time managerial position.The full job would be starting in September 2024, but training and some part-time hours are available during July-August 2024.This position is for September 2024-June 2025 (with hopes to continue and with goals for career growth). The shifts are typically ~3:30-9:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 2:15-9pm on Wednesdays, and 3:30-7:30pm on Friday. There are a few weekend shifts for events and other studio happenings. There may be some virtual off-site hours for administrative computer work, depending on the role.Basic Responsibilities:Greet and attend to clients (~400+ families) and staff by name.Promptly answer inquiries and conducting follow-ups on the phone, email, and face-to-face.Become proficient in registering and billing clients in our database software (The Studio Director).Become an expert in studio operations, policies, schedules, and procedures.Support students needs while onsite- help them if they get hurt, direct them to the restroom, call their parent/guardian if sick, etc.Take day-to-day pictures/videos and create posts/reels for the business social media.Assist in implementing projects and programs.Work at all studio events, like dance recitals and theatre shows.Contribute to the overall studio culture.Collaborate with other staff and directors about studio growth goals.Attend quarterly staff meetings.Required Experience:High-school diploma or equivalent.Background in Arts Administration is preferred, but not required.Some knowledge and appreciation of dance/movement (but do not need to be currently practicing or skilled).Customer service and administrative experience (at least 3 years).Experience with online programs, like Google Drive applications and Zoom.Required Attributes:Reliable, enthusiastic, friendly, and personablePassionate about kidsExcellent communication skills- verbal and writtenTakes initiative and is proactiveAttention to detailAbility to multi-taskOrganizedIs a Team Player and participates in cultivating the studio culture and contributes to implementing ideas to help the studio grow.Ability to learn new computer-based programs quickly.Must be able to work a small amount of hours remotely during non-desk hours.Required to pass a background check AND be Adult and Pediatric CPR, First Aid, and AED certified by the Red Cross by the start of the job.
