We are looking for a motivated Data Analyst to join our Product - Data & Growth team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and transforming data from various sources, developing and maintaining data models, and creating insightful reports and dashboards that drive business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and provide actionable insights that support key initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:


Data Analysis and Transformation: Analyze and transform data using tools like Snowflake and DBT, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data across various sources.


Data Modeling: Assist in the development and maintenance of data models that support both ongoing and ad-hoc analysis, enabling the team to make informed decisions.


Reporting and Dashboarding: Create and manage comprehensive dashboards and reports using Looker, providing clear and actionable insights to stakeholders.


Collaboration: Work closely with senior analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and contribute to data solutions that address business needs.


Data Quality: Help maintain high standards of data quality by identifying and addressing data inconsistencies and errors.


Documentation: Contribute to the development of user-facing documentation for key data processes, metrics, and models to support the data-driven culture within Docker.



Key Skills and Qualifications:


Experience: 2+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field, with a proven ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.


Technical Expertise: Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data warehousing concepts. Experience with tools like Snowflake, DBT, and Looker is a plus.


Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.


Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.


Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.


Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to data analysis, ensuring accuracy and reliability in all deliverables.


Learning Mindset: A self-starter with a passion for continuous learning and improvement, eager to grow within the data team.




What to expect in the first 30 days:


Get to know Docker! Familiarize yourself with our vision, mission, values, and product


Complete all required onboarding and training sessions.


Gain access to necessary systems, databases, and platforms.


Shadow team members to learn about our development workflows and key data assets.


Begin working on initial data analysis tasks, focusing on understanding existing data models and reports.



What to expect in the first 90 days:


Achieve a solid understanding of key data models, dashboards, and reporting structures.


Take ownership of smaller data analysis projects, contributing to the development and maintenance of data models and reports.


Collaborate with senior analysts on more complex tasks, learning best practices and advanced techniques.


Contribute to the improvement of data quality by identifying and resolving inconsistencies in datasets.


Begin creating documentation for key data processes and metrics, supporting the team’s data-driven initiatives.



What to expect in the first year:


Take on larger, more complex data analysis projects, driving them from inception to completion.


Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports that provide valuable insights to stakeholders.


Continuously improve data models and reporting processes, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business.


Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions that support key business initiatives.


Establish yourself as a key contributor to the data team, actively participating in the growth and success of Docker’s data-driven culture.
