We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our Strategy team. This role combines data expertise and business insights. As a Data Analyst, your primary focus will be on the key pillars of gathering, cleaning, interpreting, visualizing, and presenting data, making it actionable for business partners. You will play a vital role in analyzing complex datasets to extract valuable insights that drive informed decision-making across our organization. The ideal candidate is an expert at using large datasets of various kinds and presenting insights from those datasets to senior leaders. This candidate should have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data and working with stakeholders to create value for our clients.
Responsibilities:
Collect and gather data from various sources, including our homegrown reporting interface, spreadsheets, and internal systems.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data collection aligns with organizational goals.
Identify and resolve data quality issues, including duplicates, errors, outliers, and inconsistencies.
Develop and implement data cleaning procedures to maintain data integrity and accuracy.
Apply data transformation techniques to standardize and format data for analysis purposes.
Analyze data to identify patterns, trends, and correlations that address specific business questions or problems.
Apply statistical techniques and data mining methods to uncover valuable insights from complex datasets.
Collaborate with business-side stakeholders to understand the context and implications of the data analysis results.
Establish relationships between data categories, defining data hierarchies and dependencies.
Create visualizations, such as charts, graphs, and dashboards, to effectively communicate data-driven insights.
Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing analysis findings, methodologies, and recommendations.
Present analysis results to stakeholders, including management, clients, or other interested parties.
Craft a clear end-to-end story based on data findings
Requirements:
4-7 years of experience in manipulating data for analysis and insights in a quantitative field.
Experience with visualization tools like Tableau, Looker and proficiency in creating custom workbook templates
Mastery of Google Sheets or Excel
Experience with Google Slides or PowerPoint
A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on business insights
visually compelling representations of data.
Excellent communication skills to effectively present analysis findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Attention to detail and a strong commitment to data quality and accuracy.
Familiarity with Retail B2C marketing is a plus.
A desire to build new processes to convey business insights
The base pay range for this position is $90,000-$100,000/year. The base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Stock options and other incentive pay may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position ultimately offered.
