Little Lambs Teacher and Teachers Aid Job Description The Lead Teacher:A lead teacher shall use curriculum that is given to them to develop daily lesson plansand develop a daily schedule in her classroom. A lead teacher will use the given curriculum to educate children in her care and ensurethat she meets state standards in her classroom. Oversee classroom behaviors and help ensure that children follow the rules. Use positive reinforcement to help children behave respectfully toward one another and teachers. Help mediate problems between children. Oversee classroom activities, ensure that they are developmentally appropriate and thatchildren are playing in safe and productive ways. Interact with students in aways that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physicaldevelopment. Communicate classroom needs with director. Communicate with director any student or classroom issues that may need to be sharedwith families. Lead with respect and communicate expectations clearly. Teacher Aide:Assist lead teacher in caring for children. Assist lead teacher with running the daily schedule, maintaining clean space, meetingstate standards for classroom. Communicate any classroom/student concerns with the lead teacher. Help prep for lessons and/or daily activities. Be prepared to take over classroom leadership when lead teacher is sick or absent.
