Dental Hygienist

We are seeking for Dental Hygienists who can build trust and long-term relationships with our young patients. You should have deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies. If you also have a steady hand and great bedside manner, wed like to meet you.ResponsibilitiesEnsure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examinationSterilize dental instruments properlyConduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health historyIdentify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitisClean and help protect patients teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental proceduresTake X-rays or dental impressionsAssist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)Maintain documentation and charts on each patient RequirementsProven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar roleIn-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipmentOutstanding communication skillsA patient and friendly personalityAttention to detailStamina to meet the physical demands of the jobGraduate of an accredited school of dental hygieneActively engaged in dental hygiene practice for at least 500 hours in each of the 2 years immediately preceding the Affiliated Practice RelationshipHave held and active dental hygiene license forAt least 5 years OR at least 3 years and hold a bachelors degree in Dental HygieneComplete12 hours of continuing education in the following areas to be included in the already required 54 hours:4 hours in medical emergencies8 hours in two of the following: pediatric, special health care needs, preventive dentistry, or public health community-based dentistryValid license to practiceSpanish a definite plus*If interested contact Justin Allen:E: [email protected] | C: ------------
