For DSPs, HHCI acts as a staffing agency to connect you with group homes around all five boroughs.DSP Pay Rate - $17/hrJob ResponsibilityAssist developmentally disabled individuals on a daily basis through the provision of active treatment and programming according to the individual treatment plan in a Group home.Provide training and hands-on intervention to individuals in the areas of personal care, self-care, recreational services, communication, behavioral intervention and all other rehabilitation services offered to individuals as determined by their individual treatment plans and the cooperative efforts of other staff members.Teach and reinforce accepted infection control and personal grooming techniques like assisting in bathing, dental care, hair and nail care, personal hygiene, toileting, incontinence care, menstrual care, and grooming routines as necessary.Motivate and engage individuals to participate in various day rehabilitation programs.Safely transport individuals to social and recreational activities and other destinations as required.Assist individuals to plan, shop, store, prepare and serve meals using currently accepted nutritional standards; and to clean kitchen and dining areas, and dispose of leftover food safely.Maintain accurate, up to date and complete records and reports.Comply with all agency standards, rules, practices, policies, procedures and medication administration.Perform other related duties that may be assignedJob Qualification:Experience working with developmentally and intellectually disabled is preferredThe ability to work independently in a team environment is necessary, as is flexibility to meet program needsReferences upon requestProof of employment authorization and identityAbility to apply the Justice Center's Code of ConductStrong recreational, interpersonal and communication skills., in daily activities.Ability to work independently in a team environment.Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet program needsCommunicating in English, especially reading and writing is a requirementBenefits:Remote Onboarding ProcessReferral BonusProfessional DevelopmentHope Home Care complies with applicable City, State and Federal civil rights laws and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, religion, or sex including pregnancy, sexual orientation, and gender identity.Job Type: TemporaryPay: $17.00 per hourSchedule: Day shiftEvening shiftMorning shiftNight shift People with a criminal record are encouraged to applyApplication Question(s): Are you comfortable with cooking and cleaning?Are you comfortable assisting individuals with incontinence and changing adult diapers?
