We connect leading online publishers with advertisers, ad agencies and ad networks who seek to create a more interest-tailored online advertising experience.We are looking for a Director of Engineering who likes to work on cutting-edge technologies in an environment that gives you the autonomy to explore, learn, and adapt. This role combines technical expertise with leadership skills to successfully deliver software products while mentoring and supporting the Architecture and Devops teams. It will lead the data strategy, architecture, design, development, and implementation of our end-to-end data products.ResponsibilitiesManage a team of architects and devops engineersAbility to transform a user story/concept into a working scalable systemBe able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, effectively manage priorities, and communicate progressDrive the adoption of DevOps culture, principles, and practices across the organization, promoting collaboration, automation, and continuous improvementEnsure the availability, performance, scalability, and security of backend systemsSupport the implementation of applications that are fault-tolerant, scalable, and resilientSuggest and implement best practices and architecture improvementsCollaborate with all technical teams to ensure the integrity of technical designs and features within the platformQualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software EngineeringAt least 10+ years of IT architecture and devops experience6+ years experience managing devops or architecture teams5+ years of hands-on experience with Apache Spark in Scala, Apache Airflow pipelines in Python, Git, SQL, JavaExperience with Microservice Architecture, establishing standardize/reusable architectural patterns, enterprise integration, messaging solutions, Data ArchitectureExperience with continuous deployment tools (ie GitLab pipelines), Terraform, Ansible, Bash programming, and Docker/K8sExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to present in front on business users and executive managementExperience with Cloud Native Applications, preferably in AWSNICE TO HAVE SKILLSCertification for AWSMaster’s degree in Computer ScienceExperience with SBT (build tool)Nielsen: Enabling your best to power a better media future. A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $66,000-$225,000 which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location.
