This organic growth has created a strong base for our company to provide consistent, reliable, and cost-effective delivery solutions to our clients across the country.POSITION SUMMARYDispatchers coordinate and communicate vital information, such as customer orders, service requests, and emergency alerts. They facilitate the deployment of appropriate assets, such as trucks for delivery and pickup of goods.In the dispatcher role, you will take calls, schedule dispatches, and assign loads, map locations, and direct routes. You will be expected to enforce strict adherence to standard protocols and applicable rules and regulations. Success in this role will be demonstrated by determining efficient and economical routes and modes of transportation to send immediate responses and maximize productivity.Dispatcher Job Duties:Prepares and updates field units and route schedulesLogs calls and service requestsMonitors and maintains multi-line communication systemsOrganizes deployment strategy based on field personnel and urgency of requestsUtilizes computer-aided dispatch systemsRecords accurate information such as location and timeDetermines, monitors, and ensures the availability of units to dispatch.SHIFT DAYS & TIMESThe following shifts are available:Mon-Fri | 8:00a to 5:00p | Hour Lunch | *No Weekends*PAY STRUCTURE$22.00-$23.00 per hour (W-2 with no benefits)RESPONSIBILITIESMust live in Roanoke, VA or a surrounding area.Must have a valid driver's license.Must have a fully functioning smartphone.Must have a High School Diploma or GED preferred.Must maintain professionalism in all settings and keep a clean appearance.Must be on time and reliable.Must be attentive to details.Must be self-motivated and self-starter.Must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
