Job descriptionPosition Title: Senior 3 D Exhibit DesignerDepartment: DesignReports to: Design DirectorEmployment Status FLSA Status Temporary Full-Time Part-Time Non-Exempt ExemptEffective Date: Immediate POSITION SUMMARYThe Senior 3 D Exhibit Designer will lead the creation of 3 D Exhibit Brand solutions for multiple clients. The Senior 3 D Exhibit Designer will work closely with the Design Director to make sure all operations of the Design Department provide effective, creative, and cost-efficient exhibit designs meeting timelines. The Senior 3 D Exhibit Designer will utilize strong communication with internal and external staff to make sure deliverables of inspiration concepts and ideas reflect client themes and brand messages. The Senior 3 D Exhibit Designer ultimately provides a culmination of elements which facilitates the marketing experience for the host and guest within a controlled environment. Strong initiative in identifying problems and opportunities for improvement, propose action to be taken, and promote quality, efficiency, and productivity. Motivate staff, observe deadlines and ensure client needs are met. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Design Exhibits, with creative concepts refining and improving project ideas and making them real using AutoCAD 3D Line drawings and 3Ds Max rendering.Ability to work on multiple design projects at a time of various sizes.Strong knowledge of 3D Design Standards specifically in Trade Show Industry.Brainstorming and creation of original visual 3 D medium that communicates a desired feeling or message in an engaging and unified way.Ability to design multiple 3D options for each project such as a permanent installation or large tier one trade show booth with the skill of refining the selected option to meet the desired client execution.Interpret client needs and provide creative design solutions to them within budgetary constraints and exhibit hall physical limitations.Produce high industry standard design renderings, floor plans, and models.Present designs to clients, leading design flow, strategy meeting, internal reviews and launch meetings.Revise and refine projects as necessary based on collaborative feedback process with internal and external team.Prepare print orders and assembly instructions on notifications of final approval.Lead design meetings regularly.Take initiative to maintain and share best practice review of industry current standards with design staff.Perform other related duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)Strong knowledge of design, exhibit construction and materials, and exhibits as a marketing and communication tool.Bachelors or masters degree with major or significant coursework in Industrial Design, Art, 3D Design, or related disciplines preferred.5+ years of related work experience preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong service orientation.Strong AutoCAD 3D Line Drawings and 3 ds Max-Rendering Experience.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Create Suite, VRAY, or other similar design software.Organized with diligence to detail.Ability to work independently on an assignment.Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.Ability to work under severe time constraints.
