Building Elite Mustangs addresses the need in the high performance Restomod Industry for classic cars upgraded for performance that are ready and intended to drive.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Position Summary Under general supervision, the Fabricator/Welder will weld, fabricate, and restore high-end automotive bodies, chassis and parts. You will be directly supporting and impacting Big Daddys Motor Cars quality mission, Everything Done on Purpose. The candidate must be an effective communicator that works well on a team and can prepare and fabricate parts to engineering specifications. This position requires you to be meticulous in your work and constantly striving for improvement. You must be able follow precise work instructions while maintaining both accountability and accurate work documentation through a start to finish fabrication process. You will be responsible for meeting the production forecast and ensuring company goals are achieved. Responsibilities Works with Lead Fabricator and Production to ensure production demands meet the specified production scheduleWorks daily tasks lists set out by Lead/Production SupervisorPerforms operational procedure according to required engineering specificationsEnsures workflow is tracked and on time through daily meetingsReports any issues/delays in production to Lead and ensures correction in a timely mannerPrepares and stages upcoming production builds before they enter the departmentInspects both raw materials and finished products for conformance to quality specificationsMaintains a clean, safe, and orderly work environmentMaintains and services shop equipmentAssists other Fabricators, Welders, and team members as necessaryAssists in special projects and set up of fixtures as requiredPerforms other duties as assignedSkills, Abilities, and AttributesAdvanced competency in GTAW (TIG) welding processAdvanced competency in GMAW (MIG) welding processSkilled with making, restoring, and/or creating custom automotive partsKnowledge of metal fabrication methods - cutting, shaping, forming, shearing, etc.Knowledge of filler material and required gas applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materialsWorking knowledge of fixturingFamiliarity of conventional and precision measuring instrumentsAbility to properly fit / align parts and panels according to design specificationsAbility to detect errors and correct through proper procedures and channelsEffective written and verbal communications skills; ability to express ideas clearly and actively listen to othersPerfectionist mindset, very high attention to detail, and a passion for carsAbility to take follow instructions and take directionTeam oriented, with a strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment to multiple deadlinesPositive attitude and strong work ethicStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficientlyExcellent time management with an ability to balance multiple projects and timelines and to meet deadline Required Qualifications High school graduate or equivalentMinimum five (5) years of related work experience in an automotive (chassis/ parts), restoration, manufacturing and or assembly environmentGeneral automotive knowledge and knowledge of fabrication, machining/ welding equipment setup, process, and maintenance Preferred Qualifications Certification and/or technical automotive program graduatePrior experience in rapid growth environment Team Member Perks: Generous PTO including Vacation Time, Sick Time, 7 Paid Holidays, and more.
