Spanish Speaking Preferred**</strong></p><p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Monday - Friday 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm</p><p><strong>SUMMARY OF POSITION</strong></p><p>The Family Support Worker (FSW) works directly with Family Resource Center family members to provide information and educational resources in addition to providing referrals to community resources. The FSW helps to develop the FRC calendar, plan and host events, and facilitates parent and youth support groups. The FSW is responsible for recruiting and providing support to volunteers, and participates in outreach efforts with the entire FRC team. </p><p><strong>JOB FUNCTIONS*</strong></p><ul><li>Provide information and educational resources to family members</li><li>Provide referrals for family members to our network service providers and follow up to address any barriers to service delivery.</li><li>Plan and facilitate program groups including, but not limited to: educational, counseling, support, recreational and financial literacy.</li><li>Work with the FRC team to ensure program contract requirements are being met.</li><li>Actively participate in weekly staff meetings and other meetings and trainings as required.</li><li>Participate in outreach activities as part of the FRC team.</li><li>Attend and support FRC functions as scheduled.</li><li>Complete all documentation in a timely manner.</li><li>Work with the FRC team to ensure timely and complete collection and analysis of data,</li><li>Greet families and help them to feel welcome when they enter the FRC.</li><li>Answer phones when needed and direct families in accordance with their needs .</li><li>Any other duties or assignments as required.</li></ul><p><br><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><p>Required to pass initial competency evaluation as well as continued assessments of professional development and future trainings. </p><p>Associates Degree in human services, social work, or related field preferred.  Previous experience working with youth and families is required. This position requires the ability to work collaboratively with outside agencies. The candidate must possess the ability to embrace multi-cultural differences with colleagues, clients and collaterals. A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required.</p>
