Financial Analyst

Job MissionAs a Financial Analyst focusing on forest carbon models, you will play a key role in evaluating and improving the financial feasibility of our forest restoration initiatives. Your primary role will be to support the Commercial Finance team in the building and formatting of various forest models. While prior knowledge of carbon markets or forest economics isn't required, your strong financial modeling skills and eagerness to learn will be essential. Your work will support the economic sustainability and environmental impact of our projects, helping us advance our mission to scale effective restoration efforts and drive meaningful climate solutions. This is a month-to-month contract. Working up to 20 hours a week.Location: Remote; IndiaResponsibilitiesSupport the finance team with model-making and formatting Help to standardize and format our forest modelsReview reforestation project investment opportunities and evaluate commercial viabilityAnalyze financial data and report on key metrics, with a focus on providing valuable insightsDrive continual process improvements, and framework enhancements in support of generating meaningful data-driven insightsAd-hoc analysis as requiredMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in business finance or related fieldStrong analytical and accounting skills; must understand key business drivers, ability to communicate financial implications/business impact and provide recommendationsGood communication and interpersonal skillsGood follow-through capabilitiesAttention to detailWillingness and ability to quickly master new tools and processesAdvanced spreadsheet skills and ability to work on Google suite (especially Google Sheets)Preferred QualificationsExperience modeling project financeExperience developing financial reports and metricsAdvanced Google Slides or PowerPoint About Terraformation Terraformation is committed to addressing climate change through the power of native forest restoration.
