About the role:
In this role, you will help build the backend of the web application our customers use to collaborate on creative tasks. Examples of technology we’ve worked on recently include multiplayer infinite canvases, LLM-powered content generation, and creating data models and APIs.

Build unique AI-powered features: we are building tools that were not even possible until recently, and they are blowing customers’ minds.
High velocity: we get things done fast. Partly that’s due to tooling: we have robust tests, branch environments, and fully automated deployments. Partly that’s due to the team’s seniority, which is also reflected in our architecture. And partly it’s due to a culture where we prioritize, focus, and don’t let excessive process get in the way of results.
Impact: this is a critical role as we build a new product with the potential to change how creatives and marketers work.
We’re looking for someone who:
Has written web app backends for at least 7 years
Is comfortable working in JavaScript or TypeScript
Is comfortable working with NoSQL databases (we use MongoDB)
Is excited to be part of the product process and takes a user-oriented view of their work. We won’t ask you to be a PM or designer, but we expect you to collaborate and take ownership when the specs inevitably don’t cover every detail
Is comfortable communicating clearly and often, and raising your hand when you have questions
Is thorough in their work, internally motivated, and excited about our mission
Experience for 2+ years at a VC-backed (or successful) early-stage, ideally fast-growing, startup company
