Game Store Associate

Retro Game Wolf is a furry and retro video game and board game store now open in Taylorsville. We are looking for 1 new PART-TIME associate to join our team to be hired ASAP. Shifts will generally be from 12-4pm with occasional evenings, estimated at 5-15 hours a week.Our ideal candidate is someone fun, accepting, and willing to learn, because with your help we'll be able to build this business from the ground up. :) Video gaming knowledge/experience is required. (You don't have to have work experience in it, but you should be able to answer basic questions!)Don't have experience in some of these things yet? No worries! We'll teach you everything you'll need to know and we promise it's pretty easy.Responsibilities:Pricing, tagging, organizing, and importing items into our POS system so they can be properly cataloged.Cleaning and testing new items (aka get paid to play video games :) )Setting up and moving shelves, fixtures, and product as needed to prepare for openingOrganizing products and supplies in an efficient mannerAnswer any questions the customers may have in person or over the phone/textAssisting in the acquisition and selling of new and used inventory from our customers both in person and online.Qualifications (REQUIRED):Friendly and accepting towards all customers and employees-- we love everyone!Have a general knowledge of video games and consoles, especially retroResponsible and proven ability to maintain scheduling commitmentsReliable transportation to Taylorsville/West JordanPass a background checkMust be at least 18 years old to work with us (in order to help buy inventory per state law)Preferred Qualifications (not required, but it'll boost your paycheck!):Bilingual/multilingual: $1/hr higher for these individuals.Previous video game store and/or retail experienceRetro Console Repair and/or modding experienceBenefits:All of our employees get 20% off every item we sell, right from day one on the job!We respect our employees' religious and personal needs in scheduling and won't require you to work such dates (if given reasonable notice).LGBTQ+ and furry friendly!
