Group Leader

<p>St. Paul Lutheran Church and School has had a growing summer camp for over 5 years now. We want to create a safe, fun and engaging learning environment for children while also getting the chance to teach God's love and word.</p><p>**Overview:**</p><p>Camp Tribe Leaders are responsible for providing leadership and guidance for a group of campers that ensures St. Pauls Christian values. Camp Tribe Leaders create positive, nurturing relationships with students, while building cooperative relationships with parents/caregivers. Under the direction of the Summer Camp Director, Camp Tribe Leaders will be responsible for assisting with the planning, development and implementation of program activities.</p><p>**Responsibilities:**</p><p>- Leading and supporting campers as they participate in age-appropriate activities. This entails getting them to their stations at the allotted time slots. So you will need to time manage for clean-up and transitions.</p><p> Monitoring campers to ensure compliance with camp rules and prevent accidents.</p><p> Provide an enjoyable experience for each camper. Make sure everyone feels part of the group.</p><p> Participate in the general planning of the camp program.</p><p> Assist Lead teachers in their planned activities during designated time slots.</p><p> Set a good example in promptness, manners, language, appearance and health.</p><p> Cleaning, maintaining and ensuring proper use of camp facilities and equipment.</p><p> Reporting and recording details of incidents, such as accidents or rule violations, to parents and camp staff. This should be reported to Director.</p><p> Always keep safety of campers in mind. Campers are never to be left unattended (unless in the bathroom). If need a bathroom break, call the director.</p><p> Memorizing all emergency procedures and enforcing camp rules.</p><p> Participating in staff meetings.</p><p> Wearing the appropriate uniform each day.</p><p>**Required Experience**</p><p>- Must have been in a childcare facility or school for at least one year.</p><p>**Skills:**</p><p>- Up beat/ Happy Attitude</p><p>- Classroom management skills</p><p>- Organizational skills</p>
