Conduct interior design work (FF&E) for new homes in the Pacaso portfolio and drive the work from concept to delivery; partner with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to hit tight production timelines and deliver on our brand promise
Conduct design work for existing Pacasos, including sourcing replacement FF&E, performing regular design audits, and leading full-home design refreshes
Develop unique concept and schematic designs and present them in an elegant visual format that’s owner-facing and ready to share as Sales collateral
Conduct remote property reviews and collaborate with cross-functional partners on budget, schedule, capital upgrades, owner requests, sales strategy, and merchandising
Adhere to Pacaso design standards around aesthetics, functionality, performance, and owner experience; consider each property’s unique needs while honoring the brand at large
Develop smart design solutions that balance standards, cost, product availability, preferred vendors, quick turnaround timelines, and existing FF&E assortment
Support broader Supply Chain team in developing strategies that accelerate growth while increasing design quality and operational efficiency
Support expansion strategy into new markets and global regions; work closely with Director of Supply Chain and cross-functional partners to mitigate risks
Work closely with Procurement and Sourcing to define criteria for FF&E / OS&E, identify sources, and build successful partnerships
Collaborate with Marketing on content that drives brand recognition and value; serve as an external brand ambassador for Pacaso at conferences, trade fairs, exhibitions, and design weeks
Partner with local Market Operations team, logistics partners, and Onboarding team to support installation; travel to onboardings and manage in-person staging and styling, as needed
Support the development of junior designers, and help coach them via ongoing trainings and skill-shares

About you

Bachelor's degree in Interiors or Architecture (NCIDQ / CID preferred)
5+ years of professional experience with a focus on high-end residential and/or hospitality; growth-stage startup experience strongly preferred
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with concept development, schematics, and design development
Outstanding design presentation skills; experience in creating high-level graphic client presentations
Experience coordinating with interior finish and furniture vendors; you have a network of established vendor relationships
Excellent organizational skills with an eye for detail, deadlines, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects at once
Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in a highly ambiguous, fast-paced environment; you have a passion for doing design differently
Extensive knowledge of furniture, architecture, and current design trends, as well as FF&E vendors and custom solutions for high-end residential and hospitality projects; global sourcing and product development experience preferred
Proficiency in Revit and Autocad required; proficiency in modeling software including SketchUp Pro and Rhino preferred
Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat,Illustrator) and G-Suite programs (including Slides, Sheets, and Docs) required;proficiency in Excel a plus
Experience with Houzz and Canva preferred
