Kennel Assistant

Kennel Assistant We are looking for that special someone that loves animals, enjoys learning and wants to get their foot in the door for a career in veterinary medicine! This would be a great position for someone with afternoon availability or in school. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:-General hospital cleaning duties (i.e. laundry, vacuuming and mopping building at end of day)-Poop scooping-Picking up litter outdoors-Cleaning exam rooms, kennels and preparing for incoming patients-Refill and restock exam rooms and treatment area with appropriate medical supplies-Cleaning surgical instruments and preparing surgical packs for sterilization-Feed animals as instructed-Walk animals as instructed-Assist in restraining pets in a manner that allows procedures to be done with minimal stress to patients and ensures the safety of patients and people Qualifications-Must be 16 years of age or older-Must have animal handling skills-Excellent communication skills-Possess a good attitude and contribute to a positive work environment-Must have transportation-Be able to work on their feet and lift 40lbs. Salary and benefits DOE Hours are Part-Time with possible full-time in the future. Monday,Tuesday,Thursday,and Friday Start time is negotiable to 6:00pm. We are located in Marysville with easy I-5 access.
