People and Legal Operations Specialist Location: Hybrid - Summit, New Jersey Position Summary: The People and Legal Operations Specialist will play a vital role in maintaining and updating our HR platforms, assisting with annual compensation reviews, bonus grants, and payroll. This role requires a highly organized and proactive individual who can help plan and execute in-person events, organize internal meetings such as town halls, monthly business reviews, and weekly leadership calls, provide general legal support, and manage various administrative tasks. Part of this role will require going into our Summit NJ Office twice a week to check mail and being in office to assist for occasional events (approximately twice per quarter) Key Responsibilities: HR Platform Management:Maintain and update HR information systems.Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all HR platforms.Assist with the implementation of new HR technologies and tools. Compensation and Payroll:Assist with the annual compensation review process.Support the administration of bonus grants.Coordinate payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payroll transactions. Event Planning and Coordination:Plan and execute both in-person and virtual events, including company celebrations, team-building activities, and training sessions.Organize and coordinate internal meetings such as town halls, monthly business reviews, and weekly leadership calls.Manage event logistics, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and communication. General HR Support:Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes.Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.Provide general administrative support to the HR team. General Legal Support:Assist with organizing and maintaining legal documents and files.Coordinate with external legal counsel as needed.Support the preparation of legal documents and correspondence.Help ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Administrative Tasks: Book hotels, flights, and other travel arrangements for in-person board meetings and team meetings.Coordinate catering and other logistics for meetings and events including C Suite meetings and Board meetings.Support other administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field.1-2 years of experience in HR coordination, administrative support or a similar role.Proficiency in HR information systems and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Forms).Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.Basic understanding of legal processes and documentation.
