Line Cook

Job Title: Line CookJob Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Line Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of menu items, primarily focusing on burgers and fried foods. Your role is crucial in ensuring that orders are prepared quickly, accurately, and consistently to maintain customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards.Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, saut burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment.Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.Handle, store, and rotate all products properly.Complete necessary food prep prior to service and throughout shift.Monitor food levels and communicate low stock or quality concerns to the kitchen manager.Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations.Skills and Qualifications:Proven experience as a line cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment BUT we will fully train the right candidate.Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards.Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.Excellent time management skills.Attention to detail and quality.Able to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods.Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.Preferred Qualifications:Completion of food safety coursebasic knife skillsReliable transportationPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.Work in hot, humid, and noisy environment.Benefits:Competitive pay based on experience.Opportunities for advancement within the kitchen team.Employee discounts on food and beverages.Working Conditions:Fast-paced kitchen environment with high volume during peak hours.Exposure to heat, steam, and noise.Company Culture: At Next Door Gastropub, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, delicious meals in a fast and friendly manner.
