DIRECT HIRE Tube Mill Machine Operator positions in ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL3rd shift 11pm-7:30am, have to train on 1st shift for 90 days or less.MUST KNOW HOW TO USE CALIPERS AND MICROMETERS.Responsibilities:Help prepare machinery and equipment for operation by setting up components, tools, and materials according to instructions provided by the machine operator or supervisor.Aid machine operators in operating equipment by performing tasks such as loading materials, feeding components into machinery, and monitoring the production process to ensure smooth operation.Inspect finished products to verify conformance to quality standards and specifications, reporting any defects or issues to the machine operator or supervisor promptly.Assist in cleaning machinery and work areas regularly to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Notify maintenance staff of any mechanical problems or abnormalities observed during operation.Manage raw materials and finished products by transporting them to and from designated storage areas using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and participate in safety training as required.Record production data, including quantities produced, downtime, and any quality issues encountered, accurately and in a timely manner.
