Purpose of Position We are seeking an experienced and energetic Manager Software Engineering to be responsible for leading cross-functional Software Engineering teams to deliver high-quality, reliable software products in alignment with business and product objectives for our newly established Technology Hub in Madrid. The role combines people leadership, delivery accountability, and technical stewardship, ensuring teams operate effectively within established architectural, platform, and operational standards. Sitting within the Software Engineering organization, the Engineering Manager works in close partnership with Product Owners, Software Architects, Engineering Operations, and DevOps. Success in this role requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership, mid-term thinking, emotional and cultural intelligence, and strong interpersonal skills.Requisitos• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in engineering management roles. • Hands-on experience in modern software development practices and open-source technology stacks, agile methodologies, DevOps principles, and cloud-native architecture. • Experience delivering software using agile methodologies and iterative delivery models. • Proven experience leading software engineering teams in a product-oriented environment. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in English and Spanish. • Passionate about building high-quality software products with empowered teams. • Understanding of secure development practices and compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO27001, GDPR, SOC2).Se ofreceThis is a unique opportunity to become part of the founding team that helps shape the culture, practices, and technical direction.
