About the Position:
This is a brand new role for Freestar and we are looking for a talented designer to oversee the implementation of creative and design for the business as an essential member of our in-house Marketing team. This role is for an ambitious self-starter who wants to take charge and truly own something - where their impact and the results of their work will be seen.

We are looking for an ambitious designer who can turn their hand to anything and everything including a mix of visual brand identity development, graphic design, digital design, data visualisation, motion graphics and video editing.

You will work directly with our Vice President of Marketing to enhance and reinvigorate the Freestar brand by bringing stand-out creative approaches to a noisy B2B advertising technology (Ad Tech) space. You will be the person to shape our corporate visual identity, make design a differentiator for our brand and showcase the power of creativity in attracting, nurturing and converting our publisher prospects and customers.

You will work as part of the marketing team to deliver all creative assets for our marketing campaigns, as well as provide design support across the business for stakeholders including the Executive Team, Product Marketing and Sales Enablement.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Establish creative direction for the company
Use industry software such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator to create visual designs
Interpret design briefs
Brand visual identity; enhancing the visual brand, brand design guidelines, icons, typography, patterns, colour palette, building image libraries etc
Production of marketing campaign assets including advertising assets, social media, campaign landing pages, email design, print and documentation including interactive ebooks / digital magazines, sales materials, Google slides presentations, explainer videos, motion graphics for LinkedIn and Instagram, edited talking head videos, infographics etc.
Design concepts for events including stage backdrops and brand implementation
Design concepts and implementation for brand campaigns and product promotions
Motion graphics and Video creation projects
Social media design - both static and animated for Meta, Instagram and LinkedIn
Display ad design and creation for paid media campaigns
Enhance our presentations and sales materials to convey a story and engage across PowerPoint, Google Slides and PDFs through animation and impactful visual storytelling
Merchandise ideas, concepts and design
Document and thought leadership design for ebooks, whitepapers, reports guides and long-form documents
Print design: posters, flyers, roller banners, signage etc.
Email marketing design and graphics including newsletters and mailshots for platforms including Pardot / Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Campaign landing pages and light-touch web design
Motion graphics: animated product explainers
Engaging animated social media ads and applying animated text into video content
Advise best practices and optimizations for process efficiencies and stakeholder management
Manage multiple projects and deliverables at a time
Stakeholder management
Determine voice and messaging for graphic design pieces
QA design for errors
Implement feedback and changes
Create visualizations that convey accurate messaging for all design projects


Required Skills/Abilities:

Demonstrable experience building assets for multi-channel campaigns
Proficiency in programs such as Adobe Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, QuarkXPress, and Illustrator
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Minimum of four years experience in graphic design
Attention to detail
Portfolio of work with a wide range of creative projects
Strong analytical skills
Time management and organizational skills
Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred
Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and web
Experience with both print and digital media
Experience with motion graphics and video editing software
Some experience and understanding of data visualization


Experience:

4+ years of experience as a Designer
Agency, in-house and freelance experience welcome
