Schedule urgent and routine visits as appropriateAssist in entering and recording patient information to medical record electronicallyAssist office-based clinical procedures and interventionsManage phone system by answering phone calls, voice mails and patient concernsObtain Urine Drug Screens as appropriateExplaining/documenting laboratory results and pathology resultsManage prescription refills, authorizations and INSPECTExplaining procedures and treatmentsPrior authorization of medications and proceduresRequirements of a Medical Assistant:Associates degree or equivalentMedical AssistantHealthcare management experience would be advantageous. Will train the right candidateAbility to organize time and schedule to meet constantly changing workloadsExcellent communication skills and customer serviceExhibit good professional judgementFlexibility and willingness to grow with the practiceMust be able and willing to travel a reasonable distance in Central Indiana.Be a team memberComputer skills and EMR experience
