Medical Assistant

Job descriptionDuties:- Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature- Administer medications as directed by healthcare provider- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine tests, administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and equipment-Assist physicians and mid-levels providers during patient examinations and in-office procedures-Maintain medical supplies-Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments-Properly disposes of contaminated suppliesExperience:- High school diploma or equivalent required- Completion of a medical assistant training program preferred- Previous experience working in a medical setting is a plus- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment-Bilingual English/Spanish (Preferred)Job Type: Full-time
