<p><strong>DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><p>Work within the guidelines outlined by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and/or in the American Society of Exercise Physiology (ASEP)</p><p>Responsible for learning&nbsp;our activity-based&nbsp;therapy recovery program at Motion Project with our lead Recovery Specialist , which includes educational materials, hands-on learning, exercise programming, equipment training, and other neuro&nbsp;principles to implement in client sessions.</p><p>Coordinate with Lead Specialist to provide the best treatment and exercise program within the scope of practice.&nbsp;</p><p>Implement individualized treatment program and monitor response to treatment to ensure client safety.&nbsp;Record session plans and document progress as needed. Assist clients in lifts, equipment set up, activities of daily living, transfers, wheelchair mobility, weight shifts, and locomotor training.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Coach, educate, be engaged, and motivate clients throughout their training sessions. Inform families regarding the program, any changes, modifications, and exercise programs.</p><p>Provide training sessions for clients including but not limited to prevention, recognition, clinical evaluation, immediate care, treatment, and rehabilitation. Provide guided activities for clients to do at home to continue their progress.&nbsp;</p><p>Must be able to verbally explain and demonstrate all components of a variety of exercises&nbsp;for all fitness levels and various functional abilities along with its relevant application to the clients recovery</p><p>Must demonstrate clear understanding of progression and regression of exercises, and facilitate recovery reducing compensation patterns.</p><p>Use resources and equipment such as functional electric stimulation, technology,&nbsp;robotics and vibration platforms to accelerate recovery.</p><p>Maintain equipment, the gym area, storage areas, wheelchairs and bathroom equipment, and other areas as assigned.</p><p>Assist Lead Specialist&nbsp;and Recovery Specialists to work as a team to ensure best client service</p><p>Obtain continuing education/certifications in the neuro-rehabilitation field. Complete any paid&nbsp;training in a timely manner.&nbsp;</p><p>Perform other related duties.</p><p>Be part of our culture of creating a supportive community for people with physical disabilities by implementing a motivating and uplifting atmosphere, demonstrating positivity and empathy for the paralysis population we serve.</p><p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></p><p>Requires considerable physical activity including standing, walking, kneeling, heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 80 lbs. and occasionally must aid or assist&nbsp;clients and other team members.&nbsp;</p>
