Portable Roll Forming/Standing Seam Operator Job DescriptionThe portable roll forming operator is responsible for setting up a portable roll former with one of 10 different profiles. The technician must load proper coil color/width in the proper direction on the machines de-coiler using a fork lift. After forming a sample panel, the technician must measure the panel for accuracy while comparing it to the appropriate shop drawing. In addition, pallets or crates must be built for in house crating or the technician must drive to the job site and roll form panels on site. The above responsibilities include but are not limited to.Must have a valid NYS driver license with a clean driving recordThis position requires the applicant to work in all outdoors seasons (spring, summer, fall, winter)Must be self-motivated and attention to detailMechanical understanding of machines and toolsAbility to read shop drawingsAbility to maneuver a truck and trailer combinationAbility to back up and down a residential drivewaySense of urgency and work diligenceAbility to lift moderate to heavy loads 50+ lbsBuild crates for products manufactured in house using 2x4sWilling to learnNo experience needed but helpfulFork lift training provided
