If you're ready to embark on this fulfilling journey with us, let's chat this may be the perfect career opportunity for you!</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p>The Preschool Teacher will:</p><ul><li>Maintain a constructive and ongoing rapport with children and parents.</li><li>Develop monthly lesson plans that comprise of engaging activities tailored to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social requirements of every child.</li><li>Collaborate with fellow teachers to cultivate a school environment that is welcoming and nurturing for every child.</li><li>Deliver reports on potential concerns about the students to management as needed.</li><li>Oversee daily classroom operations, including structured lesson plans, free play, bathroom breaks, lunchtime, and rest periods for students.</li><li>Foster a classroom environment that actively encourages parental involvement.</li><li>Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of the facility and all equipment for childrens use.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of 1-year experience in Early Childhood Care working with preschoolers in an approved setting or 1 year of college (30 semester hours) or combination of experience and college that equals 1 year</li><li>Must have a caring and nurturing attitude towards children&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Excellent customer service skills&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent organizational skills</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)&nbsp;</li><li>Must meet all suitability for employment criteria set by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) including criminal background check and medical report</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent is required</li><li>Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is preferred</li><li>6 semester, 90 clock hours or equivalent of approved early childhood coursework</li><li>At least 9 clock hours of approved training in communicating with staff, parents and the public or 3 clock hours in ADA Compliance</li><li>Must have Medication Administration Certification</li><li>Must have CPR First Aid Certification</li><li>Must have ADA Certification</li><li>Basic health and safety training</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>OTHER SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES</strong></p><p>The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Ability to interact with the children and all staff members physically and verbally.</li><li>Ability to perform the following physical activities: stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, and bend.</li><li>At times, be able to lift amounts up to 50lbs.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>JOB TYPE</strong></p><ul><li>Full-Time</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>SCHEDULE</strong></p><ul><li>Monday-Friday: 8:00am-4:30pm</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>SALARY</strong></p><p>Compensation will be determined by the candidates level of education and experience!</p><ul><li>$16.00-$18.00/hourly</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>BENEFITS</strong></p><ul><li>Healthcare Insurance</li><li>Year-end Bonus</li><li>Paid Time-off: Sick Days; Vacation Days</li><li>Childcare Offerings</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>APPLICATION INFORMATION&nbsp;</strong></p><p>To apply, please submit your confidential resume and cover letter to:&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The Human Resources Director</p><p>Ascension Child Care Learning Center</p><p>8860 Belair Road, Notthingham MD 21236</p><p>Email:&nbsp;<a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>EEO STATEMENT</strong></p><p>Ascension Child Care Learning Center is an equal opportunity employer, committed to recruiting and supporting a diverse community of classroom teachers and staff.
