Job descriptionJob OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Daycare Teacher to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will provide a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children from infancy to preschool age. The Daycare Teacher is responsible for creating lesson plans, teaching, and managing the classroom while ensuring the overall well-being and development of the children while following minimum standards.Duties- Plan and implement daily activities that promote childhood development, including educational games, arts, and physical exercises.- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each child.- Manage classroom behavior and develop strategies to address any behavioral issues that may arise.- Provide infant care, including feeding, burping, and changing diapers.- Administer first aid when necessary.- Engage with children, promote social skills, and encourage positive behaviors.- Communicate effectively with parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress and any issues that may arise.- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive childcare environment.Qualifications- Experience working with children of various ages, including infants and toddlers.- Knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices.- Proven classroom management skills, including the ability to maintain a safe and organized environment.- Current certification in first aid and CPR.- High school diploma or equivalent required- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.- Experience with behavior management and addressing behavioral issues.- Familiarity with the principles of childhood development and the importance of providing a nurturing and supportive environment.Skills- Experience working in a daycare or childcare setting.- Knowledge of childhood development and the ability to create engaging and educational activities.- Effective classroom management skills.- Ability to manage classroom behavior and address behavioral issues.- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with children and provide regular updates to parents.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits: Employee discountPaid time off Schedule: 8 hour shift License/Certification: CPR Certification (Preferred)Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Crosby, TX 77532 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Crosby, TX 77532: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
