PBI Commercial is offering an opportunity for recent graduates to enter the construction industry as a Project Manager/Estimator (in training). PBI offers mentorship and training to learn project management and estimating in construction.MUST Live in Maryland.Job Summary:The Project Manager/Estimator (PME) is responsible for estimating and project management for Repairs and Maintenance (R.A.M.) in Construction. The seat is responsible for selling, winning, securing new accounts from Marketing and Business Development, and growing R.A.M. in an account that should generate regular and continuous projects within target verticals. The PME generates all estimates and oversees all preconstruction activities. The PME will package projects for start, before turning them over to any Assistant Project Manager (APM) or managing the scope execution. The PME is responsible and accountable for the workflow performance, goals, and targets. All APM team members report to the PME and take direction from the PME. The PME is responsible for ensuring, training, and mentoring all team members in the workflow, ensuring they are operating within all processes and systems as designed.Duties/Responsibilities:Win, Manage, Run, and deliver, at a minimum, $2.1 million of R.A.M. projects yearly.Cross-sell other PBI products.Meet with Key account stakeholders regularly, and build/grow relationships.Ensure all team members are operating within their job description, and responsibilities, PBI process, and procedures.Positioning and targeting an account for growth and being PBIs clients greatest resource.Capture information for an estimate by taking photos, measurements and/or a Matterport scan.Managing multiple jobs at one time, based on volume, conducting routine site visits at each job, and checking on subcontractors.Ensure employees and subcontractors are at the site and meeting the scheduled completion date.Ensure a clean job site.Ensure all client requests are met.Provide clients with job updates daily.Update software platforms daily as directed.Responsible for and/or ensuring all projects have the following reviewed and revised before production: Written SOW, materials list/approved selections, site condition report, schedule, signed contract/NTP, and signed vendor agreement.Ensure all work is performed according to commercial construction methods, identify potential issues, and offer solutions.Deliver the project on time with high quality.Following the communication plan and daily project maintenance responsibilities are adhered to by the PME and APM.Maintaining required paperwork such as daily field reports, time sheets, email correspondence, and any other necessary documentation.Responsible for ensuring project closeout and notification to bill projects.Ability to handle small final punch-out items on their own, if needed.Following and integrating PBI core values.Mentor, train, and educate when needed.Grow and on-board subcontractor and labor pool.Read and interpret contract documents, estimates, budget, material needs, selections, scheduling, and building and site plans before production.Critical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Detail orientedCommunicationLeadershipOrganizationNegotiationTeam managementTime managementRisk managementProblem-solvingBudget managementTechnical skillsProject management methodologiesConflict managementMathematicalData analysisWritingExperience:2 years of renovation/construction supervision or management (preferred).2 years of experience in the construction industry (preferred).2 years of experience in Construction estimating (preferred).Education:College graduate (preferred).
