The QASS will work with Quality team members to ensure that analysis and reporting for department and/or company programs are on target and meet required business objectives.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Individual tasks shall include, but not be limited to the following:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Work cross-functionally with HR, Quality, and Operations, and the customer when needed, to ensure the accuracy and validity of the information presented.To effectively communicate industry expectations/requirements and answer any questions.Work with individual terminals and managers to set and maintain an accurate monthly internal audit and follow-up requirements from individual location audits.Maintain an updated list of vendors for each location, perform follow-up reviews of those vendors, and execute change control as needed for individual locations.Be familiar with ISO 9001:2015 and work with the Quality Assurance Technician on statistical reports through the use of data analysis, PowerBI, tracking, trending, and other tools as needed for areas of required reporting.Maintain information in the Quality Management System (QMS) as required in normal business course or as needed for ISO or other agency or regulatory body. Assist Quality Team with analysis of issues of all types, conduct root cause analysis, recommend/facilitate solutions as needed based on analysis of quality failures during shipments/internal audits/etc. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of field operations teams and customer standards, working closely with operations and account management to understand customer requirements.Assist field operations in developing Standard Operating Procedures for all services that take place at each hub.Assist field operations in developing best-in-class operations, 5s, lean six-sigma, services at each hub.Collaborate with all functions/departments to identify areas for improvement and develop and implement solutions.Utilize knowledge of E-Courier and basic reporting functions to help track and trend issues found during shipments and develop solutions and best practices to eliminate items that do not meet USPack or customer objectives.Create initiatives that promote and develop a culture of quality in the business.Submit continuous improvement ideas for the Quality Program and US Pack. Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Experience with quality, safety, warehousing, and/or trucking operations.Prior use of safety compliance software, safetyculture.com preferred.Prior working knowledge of an ISO 9001:2015 environment.Prior work as an internal auditor for quality, safety, HACCP or similar, certification preferred.Knowledge of the independent contractor business model is preferred.Ability to work independently in a remote environment.Ability to learn and understand the E-Courier/EC-Mobile.Maintain knowledge of Industry standards, requirements, and expectations around Life Sciences such as the 21CFR, PDA (i.e. Parental Drug Association Technical Report 64) cGMP requirements.Knowledge of quality system requirements. Well organized and highly detailed with proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environmentStrong communicator in all media forms with the ability to communicate in group settings, or individually, at all levels of the company. Proven problem-solving skills. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (word, excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Notebook) with the ability to compile spreadsheets, ability to draft presentations, and ability to create meaningful and concise communications. Ability to travel (up to 25%) within business network as needed.Qualifications - Education, Experience, Certificates, and Licenses:Bachelor’s Degree. Previous experience with internal auditing of safety, operations, and or inspections of operations is required.Previous experience writing up internal audits and internal audit findings.Previous experience creating a 5s or lean environment is desired but not a must. Previous experience in the logistics/supply chain industry is preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience working with shipping/receiving/warehousing, quality & safety.Shift Days: Monday-FridayShift Hours: 9:00AM-5:00PM (Available to work extra hours, weekends, and holidays preferred.)Pay Rate: starting at $58,000 salaried (Dependent upon experience level.)Travel: On occasion as needed up to 25%At USPack, our values are at the heart of everything we do, every day.
