We use the Barton Reading and Spelling System, an Orton-Gillingham-based program the only type of program recommended by the International Dyslexia Association. Learn more about the Barton System by visiting bartonreading.com.Reading Tutor Position Available:We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and is caring and compassionate with children. (This is required of course!)Our preferred tutor would have:Several years of experience teaching children and/or high schoolers.Bachelors degree in Education or a related field.A teachable positive attitude, ready to collaborate with our team.Must be available after school hours and summertime.Hours/Pay:You are expected to be available September through May from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday through Thursday and from 2:00 to 5:30 on Friday.Summer sessions are scheduled during day time to accommodate families schedule change.You will be paid $25 ($20 for tutoring & $5 prep) for each Barton Reading and Spelling session you teach.We provide all training and training materials.Experience:Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)Tutoring: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: In personJob Type: Part-timePay: $25.00 per hourExpected hours: 25 30 per weekGrade school specialties:EnglishReadingSchedule:After school during the school yearFlexible in the summerMonday to FridayYear round workWork setting:In-personAbility to commute/relocate:Billings, MT 59102: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience:Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: In person
