Products CP-020 and CP-030 are in development to target and eradicate acute myeloid leukemia cancer cells. </p><p><strong>About the role</strong></p><p>Pre-clinical lab developing next generation cellular immunotherapies focused on CAR T cell immunotherapy for severe allergic diseases and cancer is looking for an exceptionally motivated individual to join the lab team of Cellergy Pharma. The lab takes projects from transgene design/genetic engineering, through reduction to practice, <i>in vitro</i> and <i>in vivo</i> studies, and ultimately translation to the clinic. The position involves mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, molecular biology (plasmid construction), viral vector packaging, viral transduction to generate gene modified immune effector cells. <br><br>This position is a great stepping-stone to the exciting, high-growth field of CAR T cells. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, independent thinker with a tremendous work ethic who wants to grow with a cutting-edge company. The position will require great planning and organizational skills. An ability to work well independently, take initiative, and creatively problem solve are a must. <br><br>The research associate will assist scientists in performing scientific research and development of varying complexity. In general, they will assist in the set up, operation and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment, monitoring experiments, making observations and calculating and recording results. <br><br>This position will also include some general lab duties as outlined below. <br><br>This position will start immediately. <br><br><strong>Responsibilities </strong></p><ul><li>Basic biochemical, molecular, and cell biology skills as the applicants contribution is expected to contribute significantly toward developing research projects. </li><li>Package lentiviral vectors using 293T cells, concentrate and titer lentiviral vectors.</li><li>DNA manipulation for experimentation, including designing, planning and executing cloning of CAR-T cell constructs using traditional cloning techniques as well as infusion cloning, T-cell transductions using lentiviral vectors and ELISA assays. </li><li>Run assays with readouts in one or more of the following formats: flow cytometry, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and other bead-based and colorimetric assays. </li><li>Design new CAR constructs that utilize novel signaling domains to achieve specificity and efficacy. </li><li>Generate CAR T cells trough lentiviral transduction of primary T cells.</li><li>Design and perform experiments both individually and collaboratively, and address problems in experimental protocols. </li><li>Analyze experimental data and interpret results to write reports and summaries of findings. </li><li>Participate in formal and informal presentations of results. </li><li>Participate in grant application process and manuscript preparation as required. </li><li>Maintain detailed notebook of all work-related activities. </li><li>Provide intellectual and interactive commitment to position by keeping up with appropriate literature and research publications. </li><li>Responsible for the development, modification and improvement of standard operating procedures. </li><li>Set up, adjust, calibrate, clean, maintain and troubleshoot equipment. </li><li>Clean, maintain and prepare supplies and work areas and may be responsible for ordering of supplies. </li><li>May be responsible for the examination of animals and specimens to detect the presence of disease or other problems. </li></ul><p><strong>Education</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelors degree required with a minimum of 1-4 years related experience.</li><li>Masters or PhD a plus.</li></ul><p><strong>For consideration</strong>: Please send your resume to: <a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a>.<br><br> </p>
