Position Title: SalespersonJob Summary:The Salesperson for Hampton Premium Meats will be responsible for driving sales by building strong relationships with customers, identifying their needs, and providing them with our premium meat products. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales.Key Responsibilities:Sales and Customer ServiceDevelop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.Understand customer needs and recommend suitable meat products.Negotiate prices and terms of sale.Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.Product KnowledgeStay informed about the various meat products offered by the company, including their features, benefits, and best uses.Keep up-to-date with industry trends, market activities, and competitors.Sales StrategiesDevelop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.Identify new business opportunities and generate leads.Prepare sales presentations and proposals for potential customers.Order ManagementProcess customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of products.Handle any issues or complaints related to orders and deliveries.ReportingMaintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales reports.Provide regular updates and reports to the Sales Manager on sales performance and market trends.Preferred Qualifications and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.Proven experience as a salesperson, preferably in the meat or food industry.Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in using CRM software and MS Office Suite.Customer-focused with a positive and professional attitude.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle objections.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.Willingness to travel as needed.
