About the role
As Two Chairs continues to grow, we’re looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join the team. You’ll work closely with the Controller as well as the entire Finance team, using your knowledge and experience to support the preparation of complete and accurate financial statements and reporting to be used both internally and externally.
You'll be responsible for preparing financial statements, including general ledger maintenance, preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, and assembling external reporting, as well as assisting with ad hoc projects.Core Areas of Responsibility
Own the month-end close process
Create and post journal entries
Reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Maintain financial records and systems
Maintain and update the chart of accounts and general ledger in Xero/NetSuite
Support implementation of a new ERP
Assist the Controller with annual audit requests, such as preparing supporting documentation and schedules
Document policies and processes while driving improvements
Assist the Controller with drafting memos for key accounting procedures
Document current processes to ensure repeatability
Apply knowledge of the business and accounting principles to both improve existing and develop new processes

Where you’ll make an impact in the first 90 days:
Learn current financial reporting processes
Develop an understanding of the business and operational impacts to the financial statements
Where you’ll make an impact in the first year:
Analyze and uplevel current processes, and suggest and lead improvement opportunities
Own the preparation of the financial statements, including P&L analysis
Partner cross-functionally on relevant reporting and drive efficiency and effectiveness across the organization
You’ll be successful if you have:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
CPA preferred, but not required
3+ years of accounting experience, preferably at a scaling early stage company
Strong analytical skills
Must be proficient in Excel and G-Suite tools
Experience running a month-end close cycle
Experience interpreting and applying GAAP
Proficiency in NetSuite preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and a sense of accountability in your work
Passion for mental health
Desire to work in a high-growth and mission-driven start-up environment
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this full-time, exempt role is $108,000-$127,000. The final offer is dependent on the hired candidate's qualifications and experience.
