We're a remote-first, Toronto-based startup with big ambitions.As a Senior Product Designer, you'll be instrumental in bringing products to life that not only solve real customer problems but also enhance the overall user experience. You will be involved in every aspect of the product development process – from conducting research to creating innovative designs and guiding them through to development. This role will be instrumental in expanding PolicyMe’s suite of products and building out new product flows, all while enhancing the customer experience. There is a lot to do and this human will be a big part of our growth!What you'll be doing:Lead Design of New Products: You’ll be leading the design of any new product that PolicyMe launches, from Conducting customer and competitive research to determine what features customers care about most, to figuring out how to showcase the products on the marketing landing pages, to designing a best-in-class customer experience from getting a quote to submitting an application and buying an insurance policy. This role requires a lot of holistic critical thinking.Design of CRO Initiatives: In between product launches, you’ll develop a backlog of AB tests that aim to improve conversion rates throughout your new product flows.User Testing Support: Validate concepts through user testing, conducting customer research, and performing usability testing as needed.Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work cross-functionally from exploration to execution, crafting meticulous high-fidelity designs that serve our customers' needs.Design Iteration: Lead the design of complex products and continuously refine sketches, wireframes, and designs across various device types, integrating customer feedback, research insights, and internal team input.Visual Interface Design: Create delightful interfaces using an existing design system and prepare prototypes for usability testing.Design System Contribution: Utilize a deep understanding of design principles to help maintain and expand the team's internal design system and processes, as needed.Quality Enhancement: Actively participate in critique sessions, providing and seeking feedback to elevate the team's design quality. Work closely with the engineering team and contribute to the design QA process to ensure your designs get built to spec.Impact Measurement: Evaluate the effectiveness of launched solutions to inform future iterations.Communication: Present design concepts and deliverables to stakeholders, articulating design rationale.What we're looking for:Experience: You have a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience within a product design setting, preferably in the digital B2B2C/B2C space.
