In the Apps & Frameworks group our core obligation is to develop and own the production-grade automated processes of the Torc data loop. Starting with data selection, following training, evaluation, release verification and deployment, in the end, our machine learning models make our trucks perceive and steer through the world! The internal verification team focuses on recompute verification of all component teams, helping to understand the performance of our Virtual Driver automatically. To be successful, we collaborate with different component, data science, ML Ops and recompute teams across the organization.
What you’ll do:
Performance metric development for perception and behavior components in Python
Managing, extending and using SQL databases with component output data
Maintaining and extending a Python dashboard displaying component verification data
Leveraging available (meta-)data of the Torc datalake to enrich our dashboard with helpful information for our component teams
What you’ll need to succeed:
Considered very skilled and proficient in discipline; conducts important work under minimal supervision and with latitude for independent judgment
BS+ 4+ years of experience or MS+ 3+ years of experience.
Proficient in Git and Linux
Advanced Python programming skills
Proficiency in SQL for database management and data analysis
Domain experience in automated vehicle technology related to requirements, testing and verification
Bonus Points!
Experience in modern python repository and package management
Experience with data visualization and analysis related to robotics/automated vehicles
