We run Ruby environments with Typescript front-ends as well as the back end and use PostgreSQL, and we apply Scrum methodologies to our product and software development processes. In your role, you will have the opportunity to work on more complex engineering problems while collaborating with peers in Dev, Product, QA, and other cross-functional teams. As a senior team member, you'll also have the opportunity to mentor more junior engineers.A day in the life could include: Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Typescript and occasionally some Ruby and PythonLeading pair programming sessions and providing mentorship to more junior team membersDriving and fostering design or architectural tasksParticipating in daily stands and weekly retrosCollaborating with cross-functional team members, including Product and PMOProviding subject matter expertise and supportI’ve got the skills… but do I have the necessary ones?Track record of shipping large, complex software projects Fluent in languages like Typescript, Ruby, or Python strongly preferred but not requiredExperience with architectural designA fast learner, ready to bring previous knowledge to this position and continue developing along the wayAbility to articulate value of technical investmentsAbility to operate with some technical guidanceExperience mentoring engineersFamiliarity with the front-end and working with modern a Javascript library or framework (React, Vue, Angular)Comfortable in a startup environment – we’re fast-paced, self-motivated, and determined to change the industryLocation in Central or Eastern US time zones (CDT & EDT) strongly preferredAt this time, we are unable to sponsor employment visasOh, and don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!
